Summer Kick-off Barn Dance
Let's celebrate the end of a successful school year and kick off summer with a bang!
Mark your calendars and spread the word! This event is hosted by REX and open to everyone of all ages. You are welcome to invite friends and family, neighbors, other homeschoolers, your church, etc. The more the merrier!
This will be a FUN family event in a beautiful country setting at The Barn at Pocaty Farm (1808 Pocaty Rd, Chesapeake), with music and dancing, lawn games (Jenga, etc.), and a large fire pit with swings! We are having a line dance instructor as well as a folk dance/square dance caller. So, there is something for everyone. There will be songs that everyone knows the steps to (Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle, etc.), as well as new things for everyone to learn (Virginia Reel, various popular country line dances, etc.). We are even working in a little Two Step....because EVERYONE should know how to Two Step! If you prefer to observe there will be plenty of seating to watch or catch your breath in between dances.
We have a food truck on site with food available to purchase.
There is a $50 family cap for immediate family members (defined as spouses and all children still living at home) and ages 4 and under are free.
